I have finished a 45,000-word middle reader’s manuscript, “Stone Man’s Lair.” A twelve-year-old boy and his younger sister are separated from their family during the 1838 Cherokee Trail of Tears. I consider this more of an adventure novel than a historical novel.

Contract Signed

On Wednesday, December 21, I signed a contract with Earthbound Publishing. My short story, “Momma and Papa,” will be printed in their fantasy anthology, “Sparks.”

What: Louisville SCBWI Chit Chatters Schmooze — Open Mic Night
Date: Monday, Jan. 2
Time: 7 to 9 pm
Place: Vint, 4901 Old Brownsboro Road (Hwy 22).
At this month’s schmooze we will have an Open Mic. Writer’s can read from their manuscript for three minutes. Listeners will have three minutes to write a critique for the author. More details on how the Open Mic works will be provided at the schmooze, but please bring something to write with and paper. The first hour will be for socializing, the second hour for Open Mic.
