Happy New Year’s! The following is a little piece about someone who’s had one too many.
The Quark in the Closet
Charles Suddeth
He’s watching me again,
He’s a good for nothing rascal.
Someday he’ll scurry away,
Back to that Black Hole of his.
Why hide from mere, little me?
Quarks are always so sneaky,
Not caring in the least who they scare
Or where quasars might be lurking.
I cover my head with a pillow,
Though I know he’s still spying,
He’s had one too many neutrinos
And simply must go home.
