Today, Thursday March 19, is the Vernal (Spring) Equinox, the day when night and day are even. Also, the first day of Spring, thank God. The ancient English called it Eostre after Eostre, a dawn/fertility goddess. They celebrated this day with bunnies and eggs. Also pictured is the Spring Equinox Celebration at the Pyramid of the Sun in Teotihuacan Mexico.
