Just who am I?
Charles Suddeth
Hello me lovelies, just how are you?
I’ve been watching, listening, don’t you know?
I trust you are enjoying yourselves, don’t be shy.
Life is to be savored and sampled and devoured,
So of course, Do what thou whilst is the whole of the law.
Where the roads cross is where we shall meet,
By my golden rings and chains do know me,
I may even sport a derby or a beard or boots.
Fancy words and promises I will spout,
And I wager that my tales will agree with thee.
For I am the father of all deceptions,
I will greet thee with a snap of my fingers,
A toothsome grin, a flash of my eyes,
A stamp of my feet and a wiggle of hips.
Don’t be early and don’t dare be late.
