Beware the Tommyknockers!

Tommyknockers are Cornish/Welsh creatures resembling leprechauns—Cornish Bucca. They hang around mines, often playing pranks or stealing lunches. However, they often will knock on mine walls to warn miners of a mine collapse and have followed Welsh/Cornish miners to the USA. [dedicated to my 8^th great grandmother Marie Southwood Suddeth, Exeter, Devon-Cornwall]
