I climbed the inside stairs that World War 2 soldiers used to get to the radar installation. Rough climb. Radar was new. A radar operator noticed planes headed for Honolulu but thought it was new bombers from California. If you stand on the beach at Waikiki facing the ocean, you can see Diamond Head on your left. Pearl Harbor is a few miles to the right. If only the radar had reported the planes, December 7th 1941 would not be remembered.
