Jailbreak?
February 13, 1866 the James-Younger gang, including the Pence bros, robbed a bank in Liberty Missouri. Everyone fled to Chaplin, but Bud ended up in the Nelson County Jail in Bardstown Kentucky. Bud broke out—I suspect the jailer unlocked the door. Bud walked out—the area was Southern sympathizers. The Pence bros married the Samuels sisters—nieces of the James bros stepfather. Bud died young. (1842-1880)
