Giant ground sloths (some the size of elephants) are extinct, the last surviving until about 3,000 years ago in the Caribbean. OR NOT. Trail cameras in the Appalachians and the Amazon rain forest suggest they didn’t go extinct. [drawings of extinct & recent trail camera footage]
