Libba Cotton (1893-1987) learned to play guitar upside down (she was left handed) and had a very unique style. At the age of 11 she wrote her most famous song “Freight train, Freight Train.” Later, she worked as a maid for the Seeger family (Pete Seeger’s parents), they helped her become a full time musician. I got to see Libba live at age 90—she still had a beautiful voice.
