In 60AD Queen Boudica (Welsh Buddug-victory) of the Iceni tribe near Norfolk England led a revolt against Roman rule, killing 75,000, forcing the abandonment of London. About 61AD the Romans defeated her army and killed her. Tall with tawny hair down to her waist and golden necklace, she was an imposing figure.
