In 1942, Bob Fletcher was a California agricultural inspector. When the WWII internment of Japanese civilians began, he took over 3 Japanese farms—taking care of them and paying taxes and mortgages. After the war, he gave them back to the families. I wish I could be one-tenth the man he was. He died in 2013 at the age of 101, a life well-lived. https://javadc.org/news/in-memory-of-bob-fletcher/
