Now and then photo of Shelbyville Rd, Louisville (St. Matthews/Lyndon area). About 1950, on the right can be seen the drive-in movie that was across the road from Shelbyville Road Plaza. Next door to the gas station is Ranch House Drive-in restaurant, similar to a Big Boy. On the left, in the distance is a potato farm that became St. Matthews Mall. Now, it is the Watterson Expressway, I-264 ramp.

Not at all. I think the drive in movie lasted until recent years.
