Devon County
The Dumnonii (deep valley folks) were an ancient Celtic tribe. The English divided them into Cornwall and Devon though both spoke Cornish. Devon has beaches, Dartmoor, more. My 8th great grandmother, Marie Southwood Suddeth (1613-1670) came from Exeter, Devon.
