Nause-Waiwash Tribe

Nause-Waiwash (nah-soo WAY-wash) refers to 2 Nanticoke villages; one along the Choptank River near Cambridge, MD; one near Vienna, MD along the Nanticoke River. Dorchester County, Maryland, 300 Nause-Waiwash are the remnants of the Nanticoke, Choptank, and Pocomoke tribes who fled into the marshes, 1700s.
