The next big little thing?
When I was a student at Michigan State University, I got to watch pony races held in an athletic field. No betting allowed—not sure if prize money was involved. It was a lot of fun to watch—nowadays pony racing is mostly Shetland Ponies with child jockeys or sulky racing, children riding. Then there is miniature horse chariot racing—adults in the chariots. Maybe we can persuade Churchill Downs to hold pony races—it will add new meaning to the phrase “betting the ponies.”
