Yuchi hero: Tiger Bone (1805-1887) Born and died in the Salpupa Oklahoma area—buried in the Tiger Bone Cemetery. As a young man, was a warrior with the Creek tribe. Later, he came a scout and was most famous as a tracker for the U.S. Marshal’s Service.
His son was Jack Tiger AKA Tiger Bone (1847-1902), also a scout. His brother, Long Tiger, fought and scouted with him. Tiger Bone’s grandfather, Jack Bone, fought in the revolutionary war with the Creeks who fought with the Patriots.
