ARCHERY CHEROKEE STYLE

Cherokees were adept with a bow and arrow—like many Native American they used a bow that was often longer than a man’s height. The wood used today is Osage Orange wood. Cornstalk shoots are very popular—the more cornstalks your arrow penetrates the higher your score. Cherokee archers play a major role in my novel Stone man and the Trail of Tears.
