Green River Writers met at the Kavanaugh Center in Crestwood, Kentucky from Thursday, January 22 to Sunday, January 25. About 20 writers from Ohio and all over Kentucky met to critique each other and to participate in writing exercises. They helped me with a YA fantasy, Osiris Must Die, and a poem, “Hey, Little Snowflake.”

The Green River Writers Poetry Retreat was held November 20-23 (Thursday through Sunday) at the Kavanaugh Center in Crestwood, Kentucky. About 30 poets from 4 states critiqued each other and participated in writing exercises. On Saturday, George Eklund, Professor of English, presented a two-hour poetry workshop.

The Green River Writers Poetry Retreat will be November 20-23 at the Kavanaugh Center in Crestwood, Kentucky. On Saturday, November 22, George Eklund, Professor of English at Eastern Kentucky University, will present a two-hour poetry workshop. The cost is $25, no advance payment required. The $25 fee includes admission to critiques and exercises all day Friday and Saturday morning.
