In honor of Canada Day, I would like to tell about my favorite Canadian song: Waiting for the Maple Leaves to Fall. The listener soon learns that the maple leaves are on dancers, not trees. Though modern tastes would term this sexist, I love the double entendre of trees/dancing girls. And since maple leaves are Canada’s national emblem, we might well have a triple entendre of trees/dancers/political beliefs.
