I am the the contest Chairman for 2014, but this is my personal category.

There will be about 18 categories, but this is the only children’s category (so far). You do not have to be a member or live in Louisville. The tentative deadline is August 31, 2014. No publication. The entry fee is $3. Details will be at greenriverwriters.org

After Nate discovers her mother’s identity, the two men kidnap Emily, but her father doesn’t try to save her. Nate’s rescue fails, so she tries to escape on her own.

John Milton, Paradise Lost.

He was born on this day in 1608. Possibly England’s greatest poet. He also fought against censorship. He would be disappointed to discover that censorship yet lives. Instead of Mr. Milton (he died before photography), I offer you a photo of a much lesser poet- me.
